Tesco Computers for Schools and Clubs - Press Release
28 Aug 2009
The Tesco for Schools & Clubs scheme enables UK schools and clubs to
redeem vouchers from Tesco purchases for a variety of classroom resources
including educational software for which Aspex is a chosen supplier. All
schools in the UK can take part in the scheme, nursery, infant, primary,
junior, middle, secondary and special needs. Also in 2009 amateur clubs who
are registered with their recognized governing body or local authority and
cater for children under the age of 18 can take part.
The Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme is believed to be the largest
promotion of its kind in the UK and will provide schools with curriculum
resources, computer equipment and educational software worth millions of
pounds.
Jane Moore, spokeswoman for aspex software comments:
"It's great that RM selected Aspex to supply our
education software
titles for this new scheme. We've been involved with Computers for Schools
since it started in 2000 and many schools have used it to substantially
increase their educational software resources."
The 2009 scheme has so far seen Aspex provide over 1350 education software
licences to schools and clubs, including the easy 3D
software ‘tabs’ , 'shapes and nets', the new
SpexWorld! series of kids
design programs and the ever popular children's
educational software Spex.
The scheme is run by Research Machines PLC (RM),
a leading provider of educational products to schools, chosen by Tesco as
strategic partner for the retailer's latest voucher collection scheme which
was launched during March 2009.
