".. me and Julie designed a bedroom in Spex software and it was really wicked, it was fun and really excellent and i want to have one for Christmas".

Spex is simple but so much fun!  It is a super, relevant resource used by many thousands of youngsters. Here are two designs drawn by Basingstoke Yr5 pupils Carrie and Imogen.

Here is a kitchen made in Spex and the two views shown here are the 3D View and Plan View. All the items can be moved around the room, views can be zoomed in close and the finished design can be printed out with the pupils name on the paper.

A kitchen designed in Spex. Plan view of a kitchen designed in Spex.

Spex will display all the items in a Bar Graph and in a Spreadsheet.  The Spreadsheet can't be edited like a real one but it provides an excellent bridge to teaching this area of abstract modelling.

The kitchen items are displayed on the Spex Bar Graph Kitchen items shown in the Spex Spreadsheet.
