Twenty years past children’s educational software was an
extravagance which schools just didn't budget for, but in the
twenty-first century it is just an ordinary routine element of the learning
resources encountered in all schools. In those years many new packages of
children’s educational software have been heralded as the next ‘must have’
for schools, but have been relegated to the back of the store cupboard in a
matter of months.
Nowadays educational software is taken for granted in all parts of school
life, but it's not always been like that. It's hard to
remember what life was like before computers and these articles relive the
