Desktop Engineering
Aspex Software has been creating children’s engineering software for over
fifteen years and understanding how children learn in the
STEM subjects of
technology, math and engineering, is where our focus lies.
With the advent of
inexpensive fabrication machines like the Silhouette (illustrated right), students
can generate ideas on the classroom computer and then transform their designs
into physical prototypes.
We're really excited at the possibilities
opened up by digital fabrication in the classroom because until now, engineering
has been expensive and severely under-represented in schools.
With a Silhouette Fabricator connected to your computer, together with a
Canon Pixma 4700 printer, you'll get an inexpensive engineering workstation with
a footprint small enough to fit onto your desktop!
